AfterBurn - Sky’s Next Level Training program is back and better than ever!
If you are a person who wants to turn your training up a notch while having a blast, then AfterBurn is for you!
AfterBurn is all about burning calories, challenging yourself and having fun! People keep coming back to AfterBurn because it’s dynamic, challenging and an incredibly effective use of their limited time.
Key aspects of AfterBurn:
• 4 Weekly Training Themes
In fitness lingo we call these “microcycles” and we use these to make each week more progressive, innovative and challenging. Over the course of this 4-week program you’ll find your body’s movement efficiency, stamina, strength and training capacity improving with each passing day.
• 3 Training Days Per Week
These training days are essential to your progress as you will be working out under the direct supervision of your Sky trainer. The sessions will allow your trainer to identify opportunities where you can improve your fitness level and will help ensure that your current fitness challenges become your fitness strengths. You’ll see dramatic improvement through engaged, intelligent training and professional supervision.
• 4 Week Program Duration
The program kicks off on September 12th and will end October 7th or 8th depending on your training schedule.
• You'll Get Additional Workouts
These workouts will be provided by your trainer. These additional, customized-workouts are recommended for you to get the best result from your AfterBurn training program experience.

And some common questions we hear about HIIT…
Q: How many times per week should I do HIIT?
A: Most research indicates that three times per week may produce the best results and will limit injury. HIIT is very demanding on the body and it is important to recover fully between sessions.
Q: Should I eat before a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) session?
A: Yes, but fuel your body wisely. When exercise intensity is greater than 80% of maximal oxygen consumption (you’re breathing really hard) the rate at which the contents of your stomach empty tend to slow down. This is primarily due to changes that occur in blood flow as well as hormonal and neurotransmitter activity. You can reduce chances of stomach problems during exercise by eating foods that are low in fiber, lactose, and sweeteners a couple of hours before a training session. Be sure to stay hydrated.
