Sky180° in the maKING: Mandy's Story
I have been out in Tulsa almost 10 months working as a travel nurse. When looking for a gym to work out at, I found Sky and I have loved my experience here. I have done a few of their programs while I have been here and found them all very motivating. I did Sky180° this summer with Candace King and enjoyed working out in a small group setting with others who are also looking to become healthier.
The Sky180° program was really helpful by incorporating a realistic meal plan along with 3 trainer-lead group sessions each week. Candace has been a great trainer and helps to encourage and support group members. I have some knee issues, so Candace will help me to modify exercises so that I can successfully do them (but still work really hard!). I often find myself challenged to figure out what exercises to do when I come into the gym, so the personalized homework that Candace provided helped me to get a good workout in, even on non-group training days.
During Sky180° I decreased a number of inches, nearly 8 pounds and noticed my clothes fitting much looser. Over the course of working with Candace, my lean body mass also increased tremendously. At the end of the program I noticed how good I felt after completing a challenging workout, especially one that I knew would have been almost impossible before I started the program. After the end of the program I kept working with Candace in small group training and continue to enjoy the motivation and accountability that comes with working out in a group!
