Yoga is an ancient art based on an extremely subtle science – one of the body, mind, and spirit.  When practicing the yoga “asanas” or postures, focused thought informs each movement.  This practice of mindful movement is the essence of Hatha yoga and has the ability to positively impact health.

According to B.K.S Iyengar, the world’s leading yoga teacher and, in 2004, one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people, “A practicioner of yoga faces life not as a victim, but as a master, in control or his or her life situations, circumstances, and environment.”

Rates and Schedules

Yoga at Sky is included with your membership.  Please check the Group Fitness Schedule for times and class descriptions.  Private yoga instruction is available for an additional fee and may be arranged through the Fitness Services Desk.

Sky Yoga Instructors

Each of the instructors at Sky has been inspired to teach by the deep impact yoga has made in his or her life.  In addition, each instructor has a thorough knowledge of the biomechanics of the human body, enabling our students to receive safe and effective instruction.

While personal styles of yoga instruction may vary from more contemplative to high energy, each instructor delivers classical Hatha yoga instruction to students of all levels.
